My favorite season windows. Once students have learned about the different seasons, this is a cute way for them to express their favorite one. This corresponds to the NYS Elementary Science Core Curriculum Standard 4: The Physical Setting (describe patterns of daily, monthly, and seasonal changes in their environment).
Grade 1- Earth and Space Science- Daily and seasonal changes- Have the students work through this with the teacher. Have them brainstorm words and ideas that go with each season. If the classroom is having daily weather updates have the students predict the next season
Seasons chart. Make something like this for Emma. She's been talking about seasons at preschool already. Maybe even do a nature walk and collect things that signify each season (though what would we do for winter)? Leaves/flowers for fall/spring, sand for summer...
