Here is a very nice stereo card that dates from the later part of the 1800s. It features a scene of Baalbek, Roman ruins in Lebanon. Please see photos for condition. This card, which fits into a stereoscope and presents a 3D image, measures just under 7" long by 3 1/2". Here is what Wikipedia had to say about Baalbek: "Baalbek, also known as Baalbeck, is a town in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon situated east of the Litani River. It is famous for its exquisitely detailed yet monumentally scaled temple ruins of the Roman period, when Baalbek, then known as Heliopolis, was one of the largest sanctuaries in the empire. It is Lebanon's greatest Roman treasure, and it can be counted among the wonders of the ancient world, containing some of the largest and best preserved Roman ruins."
