Love this idea, but in the mud room. Baskets near the floor for hats, gloves, ets, then higher up for cleaning supplies etc. Plus by doing the slatted walls, you can add all the hooks you want!

This isn't a DIY link, but this chicken wire basket is awesome... looks like it'd be so easy to DIY too, with some baling wire and chicken wire. :)
