Scandalous Women: The Thistle and the Rose - the Life of Margaret Tudor, Queen of Scotland

  • Raquel Inés López

Margaret Tudor, Queen of Scotland. She was sister to Henry VIII and married first to Scotland's King James IV, bearing him a son who became Scotlands James V. After her husband's death, she married Archibald Douglas, Earl of Angus, giving him a daughter, Margaret Douglas. That daughter became mother of Lord Darnley who married Mary Queen of Scots. As England's James I was born to that marriage, Margaret Tudor is the link tying together the monarchies of Tudor and Stuart.

Beautiful scene. So perfect. Note the period wall painting. It's the perfect image for my interests in the Tudor period. Hand craft, decorative arts, and accurate garb.
