Healthy Snack bin in the Pantry. | S - bought plastic bins at Target (pretty ones with lids) and divide all snacks into portion servings, then divvy the bags between 2 bins. One is school healthy snacks and the other is after school snacks. This has eliminated much arguing about who had more, everyone gets something they like, and snacks go much further with portion control.

When we first discovered microwave potato chips four years ago, it was nothing short of a revelation. Even now, the fact that a short spin in the microwave can transform slices of potato into crispy (truly crispy!) chips without needing a drop of oil still seems like magic. Here's how to make them.

Those packages of pre-sliced apples you can buy at store are great for a healthy snack on the go but the price can add up. Make your own by slicing apples, soak in cold water for 3-5 minutes, then soak in a lemon-lime carbonated soda (such as 7-up or sprite) for 3-5 minutes. Divide into snack size portions and store in Ziploc bags in the fridge. The lemon-lime soda will keep the apples from browning and make them last longer.

Jello roll-ups. So easy and soo good. Try them with watermelon jello or the black cherry. Great to take to sports activities, picnics, even camping. Young and old will love them!!
