The Way of St. James (El Camino de Santiago) was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during medieval times, together with Rome and Jerusalem. It begins in various European locations and ends at the shrine of the Apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, where the remains of the saint are buried. Many today still take up this route as a form of spiritual retreat. Have you done the Way of St. James? What was your experience like?
