Beautiful Headband twist...picture tutorial

This 1-minute makeover to a longer, fuller ponytail will blow your mind. All this tutorial requires is an extra hair tie.

I tried this last night when the kids were in bed, just to see if it's that easy and it is. I did 8 sections instead of 4 and I got a ton of volume with my short hair. Also, I did a side part because I don't like a middle part on me. I did not realize the trick to curling was doing it all in the same direction and a flattering direction at that.

Start this like a regular braid, but drop the top piece through to the bottom and leave it there. Gently twist the 2 pieces you’re left with upward. Add a new 3rd piece in between + drop it through. Twist again and repeat. Keep going until you get to the back. Tie it with a clear elastic, tuck the end under, and secure with a bobbypin.

Topsy pony...start out with a side ponytail. Check. Now, above where the hairband is set, separate two sections and take your pony and tuck it over through the hole. Pull it through, and there you have it.

Knot your average pony. **I tried this in my own hair... even though I have lots of long, thick hair, this style made me look like I had none! Seriously... I lost seven inches off the length of my pony tail :( Check out my "French Knotted Pony" for a variation I made... leaves more length and fullness in your pony tail, and makes for a super cool look!
