Hata Reka, at Tangata's approach, nudged the little baby deer. "Oh!" Tangata placed a hand on his mouth in surprise, "You've had a fawn." He says in awe. She looks back up at him happily, proud of her accomplishment.
The only exception to the rule about horns is the Pronghorn Antelope of the American plains. Not only do their horns have two points (hence the name Pronghorn), but they also shed their horns on a regular basis.
