All stories should be told as well as Capote told this one... just the right information at the right time, suspenseful but under control? Objective and distant but simultaneously you feel that you're close and in on the secret. Themes of the value of life, the meaning of victimization, justice, grace, freedom, etc.
I read this book in class and had thought that it would be another boaring book for AP English. I had heard of it before and thought that might pick it up eventually. I did not realise it would be such a good book. I learned more about english in this one book than I did in any other.
This book was recommended by one of my students. It's not my typical read, but I did find it difficult to put down. Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel which presents a future American society where books are outlawed and firemen burn any house that contains them. By Elizabeth Perez.
