Clarkia amoena 'Shamini' I had to add another variety of Clarkia Amoena. These flowers are really special and light up the garden when most else is shriveling in the heat. They make excellent long lasting cut flowers, too. Possibly my favorite CA native wildflower in the garden.
Hesperaloe parviflora Yucca-like plant with 2-3 foot long narrow gray-green leaves and tall flowering stalks bearing pinkish red tubular flowers. sunny location with well-drained soil. native Southwest US adaptable to most of the moist eastern US as well. Thick upright-growing, blue-green foliage makes a 18" tall clump topped with 40" spikes of rich salmon-pink flowers in late summer. Height 3-5 Feet Spread 2-4 Feet
