Martha Graham. American modern dancer and choreographer. Graham's influence on dance has been compared with the influence Picasso had on modern visual arts, Stravinsky had on music, or Frank Lloyd Wright had on architecture. She danced and choreographed for over seventy years, and was the first dancer ever to perform at the White House, travel abroad as a cultural ambassador, and receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

I'm guessing this is a young Martha Graham in the 1920s - she danced with Denishawn before her solo career and they did a lot of dance work in silent films.
