On my small porch I could get a thick rubber mat, put holes in it, & glue river rocks onto it. Maybe make a border around the outside perimeter of the porch where I then place container gardens.

Ah, yes: my garden room (in my dreams)! If I am not mistaken, the front wall is formed by a roll-up garage door. Actually, this would be great for an art studio if the door has windows to let in light when the door is closed. That way, I could use it year-round.

The home's exterior creates the perfect starting point for this patio's color scheme. Orange accents, such as throw pillows, hanging fabric, and oversize letter B, pop against the green exterior. Wood candle holders and potted plants bring the natural elements of the yard onto the patio. With plenty of seating and multiple tables, this patio is just right for enjoying bright summer days and warm summer nights.

Great idea to use Mexican blankets to upholster outdoor seating

DIY: build out of natural, raw materials. Weave plants/vines such as Wisteria or English Ivy for privacy & to create an enclosed, natural, secret oasis.

This is the back deck at the bungalow. Perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea or a nice glass of pinot noir.................

I wish I could do something like this in my backyard, a little get away. Saipua | Brooklyn
