Best movie I've seen so far this year. It's definitely not for everybody. Pretty dark, anxiety ridden movie with that "indie film" look, a female lead (on the verge of stardom) and John Hawkes impressive in another excellent role. Yes it's the "Winter's Bone" of 2011/2012. Depending on how the rest of the year shapes up this will end up around 7, 8 or 9 on my top 10 of the year. Good Movies, Movies To Watch, Horror Movies, Mmmm, Movies Docs
After running away from a cult a young woman discovers it's not easy to resume a normal life.
A father heads overseas to recover the body of his estranged son who died while traveling the "El camino de Santiago," and decides to take the pilgrimage himself.
Plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions, a young husband and father questions whether to shelter his family from a coming storm, or from himself.
In the third movie in the Millenium Series, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," Lisbeth is recovering in a hospital and awaiting trial for three murders. Mikael must prove her innocence, but Lisbeth must be willing to share the details of her sordid experiences with the court.
"The Fall" by Tarsem Singh. Instantly went to my top three movies. I don't think anything will topple "All the President's Men" from the top of my favorite movie list, but The Fall is one of the best visually stunning things I've seen in my life. And a great story to boot!
