I love this behavior system. It allows you to reward good behavior as well as redirect poor choices.

A good idea...maybe not for high school...but great for my elementary teacher friends...

Cool idea - clipchart for behaviour management. Note though - the picture has 32 clips on it, you would need a system like this with that many kids in your class!

Good behavior chart for the little bits. Would be great to use different shapes and progression of rainbow colors (ROYGBIV) for each section and add visuals to represent behavior.

Instead of striving for useless junk, the kids strive for acknowledgement of good behavior. When a child reaches outstanding at the end of the day, we add a star sticker to the clip and I give them a label to take home. When they earn 5 stickers they get a new clip and color it red. We repeat the process in "rainbow order" meaning they then work to earn an orange clip, etc. The ultimate goal is the coveted "glitter clip."

When students move their clip up for the day, they get a star. When they get 5 stars, they get to color their clip red. When they have a red clip with 5 stars, they get a glitter clip, etc.

Clip chart ideas - each time students get to the top of the chart they get a jewel on their clip. Once you have 5 jewels your clip goes to the hall of fame and you get a new clip. She also gives out tickets for students being on green or higher, which they can spend on treats on Friday. FREE clip chart template

Behavior management

Behavior management- What I like about the clip chart is that students have chances to move back up the clip chart if their behavior improves; their day isn't over if they have to move down.

My New Clip Chart - I LOVE, LOVE the calendars that go with the chart! I also think the idea of giving kiddos a certificate for being a "role model" is awesome. AND, if a kiddo has to clip all the way down, they fill out a behavior reflection.
