Mahatma Gandhi, My Hero.
Mahatma Gandhi, a political and spiritual leader, his message was of non violent protest which he announced to the world, “I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.” He lived a simple life and led by example the way to campaign for democracy and human rights which was instrumental in helping India gain its independence from the British in 1947.

Vassily (Wassily) Kandinsky (16 December 1866 – 13 December 1944) was an influential Russian painter, art theorist and musician. He is credited with painting the first purely abstract works. Born in Moscow, Kandinsky spent his childhood in Odessa. In 1896 Kandinsky he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1921 he taught at the Bauhaus School of Art and Architecture until the Nazis closed it in 1933. He then moved to France where he spent the rest of his life.
Wassily Kandinsky: “Of all the arts, abstract painting is the most difficult. It demands that you know how to draw well, that you have a heightened sensitivity for composition and for colour, and that you be a true poet. This last is essential.”

Mr. Nikola Tesla. If you think you know everything there is to know about how electricity as we know it, (AC) Alternating Current, and the electric motor were brought to the world, I think you should click this #Pin and read a bit. You might find what you know is a bit off. And you might find that Thomas Edison practically robbed this man of a lot of his glory. (And a few dollars too... 50,000 dollars to be exact...) #NikolaTesla #Nikola #Tesla #TeslaCoil #Coil
Happy Birthday, today! Few inventors contributed more to advances in science and engineering in the early 20th century than Nikola Tesla. As one of the Fathers of Electricity, Tesla did groundbreaking work on alternating current (AC) power system, electromagnetism, hydroelectric power, radio, and radar to name a few. Many of his inventions (Tesla obtained some 300 patents in his lifetime) became the stuff we take for granted today: when we flip a switch to turn on the light.
Nikola Tesla was the most popular scientist of the 19th century. In fact, Tesla worked with Edison in the 1880s but had a falling out because he believed Edison stole his ideas. Tesla developed AC power used all over the world now and worked with George Westinghouse to promote it. He laid the foundation for radio, TV and many modern inventions. He fell into insanity became a recluse. He died in poverty in a tiny aptmnt, by then considered a mad scientist in 1943. what-whe
