They were also one of the first black black teen idols to appeal equally to white audiences.

Jackson 5-I like the songs from when I, ur, we were kids. Sugar Daddy, I Want You Back, ABC and The Love You Save. These peppy melodies and precious lyrics just make me happy to be walking about. Yes, I said peppy.

Yes the Jackson 5 were mega popular on the Billboard chart. With numerous hits like "The Love You Save," "I'll Be There" and "Never Can Say Goodbye" it's disappointing to know they never received more than one nomination. Their sole Grammy nomination was in 1974 for "ABC."
