love this idea. Except print out skeletal outlines that students can glue in each day. I did this with my history class last year and the kids rarely asked for extra papers because they glued them in to their notebook.

Starting out as a ninth grade Algebra/Advanced Geometry, eighth grade Pre-Algebra, and seventh grade math teacher. She's now in her 4th year teaching sixth grade math at a middle school and she loves it. She's obsessed with resource books and they mold the way she teaches and she doesn't rely on textbooks.

I really need this! I want to structure every minute I have next year, and to this I would only add "Clean up your space and help a neighbor clean up theirs." Also put away technology, in case we have out Nooks, Netbooks, or clickers. I think having this countdown every day or something similar to it would be a great benefit. Maybe add restating the objective or an exit ticket....hmmm...
