This would be a great assessment for fractions! See if students can correctly make each fraction of the pizza a certain type...then maybe ask questions about it (how much more of the pizza is cheese than sausage?)

Cheap and easy math journals...genius! I have reading journals and science journals, but no math ones...great differentiated assessment tool AND a way to stretch mathematical thinking about concepts taught each day. Journal examples: "How many ways can you represent 10?" "The answer is 6. What could the problem be?" etc.
