This is an absolutely brilliant and inexpensive way to store anchor charts or large posters throughout the year so that you can re-use and bring them back out if necessary. All that is needed is a box of silver rings, clear plastic hangers, labels, and your laminated anchor charts. I can see using the hangers that already have clips as well.

This poster would be great to teach students about summarizing, as the NYS ELA Common core standards indicate : 4.RL.2 and 5.RL.2 asks students to summarize a text they have read. This poster can be a reference tool when students start summary writing.

I NEED to make flip charts like this that I can re-use each year... Summer to do list? (Possibly for our weekly vocabulary words so I don't have to re-write them each week?)

anchor chart storage - someone else mentioned to me that you can store the pieces to a unit in a suit bag in the closet/attic. Little pieces can be stored in a shoe holder on the same hanger. Then just pull out the suit bag when you are teaching the unit and store the rest. A great way to save space within your classroom!
