People have asked me to do kettlebell workouts before, but until now, Id never had a chance to try them out! Well, my new gym has a full set of kettlebells, so I experimented the other day. Heres a beginner workout using only one kettlebell! As you get used to the kettlebell and you get stronger, try to repeat the workout.

Kettlebell Tabata Workout. For each exercise, set an interval timer for 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. When the four minutes is up, move on to the next exercise.

Starfish reach: Lie faceup with legs wide and arms extended behind head, holding kettlebell with both hands (at base of handle, ball away from you), palms facing up. Contract abs and crunch up as you reach arms and legs together (as shown). Lower to start. Do 15 reps.

Nevermind the nice back! OH, to have a working right shoulder to do this....
