from Reading. Writing. Thinking. Sharing.

Roll-a-Dice Literacy Fun!

I use this at my writing station for Daily 5. The kids love it! Roll a Story great for teaching how to make interesting elements in a story. Love this for those kids who are stuck on what to write about!

Paragraph Reminder~ This is great for students who are beginning to write multi-paragraph narratives or essays. Simple, clear, and helpful!

8 whole class journals for the students to write in. Select 8 students each week to write in one of the journals. The next week, 8 different children will be selected to write, and so on. By the time were finished, each journal should have about 25 different entries written in them. Students will be able to read what their classmates have written as well.

I love this! It is so important for students to see models! Using a rubric scale to compare weak and strong writing models is a great way for students to begin to reflect on their own writing!
