Parent Communication Log- Don't really need one this elementary, but my goal this year is to contact every parent at least once per semester... especially for the students who are doing great or are showing improvement! (:

Try using data binders with your class. Your kids and their parents will love seeing the growth throughout the year. Try out the free version or get the editable version to make it all your own. #www.rockinteachermaterials.com

Zoofluency

Fluency passages to send home with families. I will send home a new one twice a week and make sure that colored pens go with it.

To-Do List...I like this being on the main clipboard instead of in a binder so I could add to it as the day progresses. Much better than in a binder like the original idea that I saw.

Why did i JUST find this?!? Hundreds of Smartboard Lessons and lesson plans organized by grade and subject. FREE!

One of the standards in physical education is to promote lifelong fitness, and physical fitness outside of school. Would provide a great way for students to log activity minutes outside of school. Then being able to compare the days. Seeing which days have more or less active minutes, and then using cognitive skills to evaluate why that is. I found this on Pinterest.

What do mathematicians do?

GREAT resource aligning with Common Core 8 Math Practices. This document refers to what mathematicians do: talk about math, explain their thinking, make predictions, work together, compare, make mistakes, record thinking, change their ideas, check their work and look for challenges!

Don't know if this "trick" will help, but won't hurt to try...exponential and logarithmic function conversions.
