When I was little there was one particular TV Movie of the Week that stuck with me—back when the TV Movie of the Week wasn’t a cliché but tackled issues that became the topic of dinner table conversations across the country. My favorite book. I have this edition, and it's falling apart. When it becomes unusable I don't know what I am going to do.

Crank, by Ellen Hopkins. 2010 (#4). Reasons: drugs, offensive language, sexually explicit.

Incredibly moving and insightful account of Alzheimer's from sufferer's point of view. Frightening too. Recommend for book groups--a good discussion is sure to happen.
