lego storage--little bins like these would work well on the shelves in his new room

lego man - great up-cycled storage containers, maybe not for Legos. He likes to see them all flat in front of him.... allover the entire floor of every room would be his preference :-)

LEGO Table from IKEA. The bins (also from IKEA) are made to slide into all the nice slots. The table top is made from a 5' x 5' piece of baltic birch plywood cut to 4' 8". I rounded the corners of the top, routed 1/8" edge, and sanded it using an orbital sander. spray paint which matched the blue LEGO color exactly, and then a clear coat) bought from Home Depot.

IKEA Hackers - takes inexpensive (and not always attractive) IKEA products and turns them into other things. Yay for re-purposing! This one is a lego table made from a Lack table. More then $30, $18 for the table, and then I paid $25 for the lego base boards, so $43, not bad though!!
