I like the siding color (gray) with the white trim around the windows. I also like the dark wood front door. I would want a storm door as well.

DIY: Paint faux windows and add handles to garage door. What a fabulous DIY until until we get a real carriage door!

This traditional porch near Palmetto Beach, South Carolina, employs coastal-style architecture to give this new home old Southern charm with shutters that reach all the way to the ceiling. The folding shutters can be opened to let in light and air or closed for more privacy. The slats can be adjusted to let air circulate. (Photo: Laurey W. Glenn)

This high-contrast exterior features charcoal gray outlined with bright white trim. The deep gray siding picks up on the various grays in the stone, while the walnut-stained cedar doors bring in another moody element.

Stone on the stair risers....and to hide under the porch....I think there may be some "faux" stone projects in the future.

really nice. love the details in the open gable, but its openness along with the fact that it covers a very shallow porch defeat the purpose of a covered entry, in my humble opinion. Gable and porch could be extended out, but this would obscure the view of the details, so how about we just close it?
