Peppermint Meringues from Joy the Baker. These could be made plain white, but the adorable red stripes are made by striping red food coloring in a piping bag. How could you not??

Christmas Cookies Around the World: Peppermint Meringues recipe

    • Cilla Lynn

These are a tasty treat around the Holidays, and although you could eat them yourself, I LOVE to make a giant batch at one time, fill old clear (and clean!) mason jars with them, and tie a nice big gold bow around the top. It makes a lovely gift to bring to any Christmas gathering you attend to give to the host! More tips: -Make sure you keep your eye on the meringues constantly! They go from barely cooked to over crisp QUICKLY! - I like to crush peppermint candy canes and sprinkle them on top of some before baking. -If you don't have food coloring paste, I mix red food colouring drops with icing sugar to make my own "gel" to put into the piping bags. ENJOY!
