Amazon’s new Fire 7 tablet, the first refresh since 2019, has a more powerful MediaTek processor, an updated graphics chip and more RAM, but still claims better battery life. Screen resolution is the same at 1,024 by 600 pixels. The @amazon Fire 7 (16GB RAM, $60; 32GB RAM $80) and Fire 7 Kids (16GB RAM, $110; 32GB RAM, $130), which adds a protective case plus a one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription, will be available June 29.
