Blue Mountains, Australia: The slate-coloured haze that gives the mountains their name comes from a fine mist of oil exuded by the huge eucalypts that form a dense canopy across the landscape of deep, often inaccessible valleys and chiselled sandstone outcrops. www.lonelyplanet....
Brisbane River. This is the river which cuts brisbane effectively in two, the North and the South. I chose this photo because it represents a divide between the wealthy and the less wealthy. Some snobs will not cross from the river to go from north to south. Personally, I thought that this divde was meaningless, with all kinds of people being found on both sides of the river. Word of warning, the river is FULL of bull sharks!
