Although totem poles have become a symbol of all Northwest Coast Native people and their use has spread to neighboring tribes through the years, tall multiple-figure poles were first made only by the northern Northwest Coast Haida, Tlingit, and Tsimshian peoples in Southeast Alaska and British Columbia.
Alaska Scenery~South Eastern Alaska, near the LeConte Glacier - i will recommend Alaska for this time of the year but only to explore it with a cruise ship, to do a backpacking trip in this time of the year is insane because of the temperature. While we r waiting the summer we will enjoy the landscapes but on the net. #Alaska #LeConte #Glacier
Alaska - lived, worked, fished, skied, back country back pack, road trip, plane trip, hung out with homestead cabin folks, painted, admired and was overwhelmed, injured and healed by this state. Spent time in Bristol Bay, Naknek, Kuparak, Anchorage, Talkeetna, Homer etc. in every season - a place where dumb people don't last very long, unless they are commuting in from Texas. ;)
Seward, Alaska: My friend Mindy and I took a trip to Alaska. My favorite place was Seward where I went on a ride with sled dogs. We drove around the Kenai Peninsula going to Soldotna and Seward and then spent time in Anchorage. We went on a float plane ride and had a picnic too.
