Neuschwanstein, Germany. Love a good historical story?! This palace was commissioned by Mad Ludwig II of Bavaria and was intended to be a refuge for the hermit king. The locals were so in awe of the castle’s splendor that the king decided to open to the paying public. Since then, more than 60 million people have stepped foot in the massive castle. Even Walt Disney was inspired by seeing the palace as it served as his inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle and Cinderella’s castle. I absolutely love architecture and palaces are some of my favorite!

Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria winter time. What a fairytale!!. This palace was intended as a personal refuge for the reclusive king, Ludwig II of Bavaria but it was opened to the paying public immediately after his death in 1886. The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. How lovely.
