    Rewarding kids with things they get to do instead of things they get to have. When they do something good, they pick from the jar and get things like to stay up a little later or play outside a little longer etc. Cute idea!

    When the kids fight or misbehave, they pick a stick from the harmony jar. Some things are chores and many are things to do for the other sibling. She has a list. great blog too

    LOVE THIS ~~ Positive reinforcement ~~ Put a cotton ball, marble, pom-pom, etc. in every time you catch your child being good. Do something special when it's full. What a good way to keep things positive.

    Calming jar: tell child that they need a break and may come back when everything has settled to the bottom. Good idea!

    Time Out Jar- shake the jar, when the glitter all settles you're done. Supposedly helps them concentrate on calming down while they watch the glitter.

    Chore Sticks!As soon as the kiddos get home from school, they grab their jar & get to work on their chores. {Their “chores” also include things like eating a snack, homework, reading along with the usual chores like cleaning your room, putting your clothes away, etc…} Have them complete all their chores before dinner. It makes evenings a lot less stressful, & more family time.

    Calm Down Jar - A creative approach to time-out. Child first shakes the jar to get their frustrations out, then they're asked to wait until the glitter has all settled on the bottom. That's when time-out is over.
