Quick Cleaning Tip: Keep Baseboards Cleaner With Fabric Softner

Quick Cleaning Tip: Keep Baseboards Cleaner With Fabric Softener ~ One of those tips should be shared with more than just the pet owners of the world. A dryer sheet to dust can help in many ways. Not just because it kicks the dust to the curb since it banishes static, but because it actually coats as it cleans for residual dust-fighting power.

Downy just came out with a product called "Unstopables" (yes, there's only one P in it!) I am totally addicted to the "Fresh" scented one! Makes your laundry smell incredible! The "Lush" scent, though... Not so much.

Make Your Own Fabric Softening Sheets

Take your favorite liquid fabric softener and soak an old hand towel or flour cloth completely with it. Wring it out and let it dry completely, then throw it in with your next load. This mega-fabric softener sheet should be good for at least 40 loads of laundry, stretching out softener use and lessening waste. In other words, save money.

Top 10 Time-Saving, MacGyver-Style Cleaning Tricks

My grandma taught me this many years ago. Refreshing towels I use this trick all the time since I noticed my towels smelling funky. It works! - Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelly. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!
