The exposed brick wall and fireplace in this Sag Harbor, New York, dining room was once red brick. Painted the same shade of white as the walls and then dressed, the brick’s patina looks vintage and cottage chic. A window seat makes this entertaining space more casual, and a round table makes for cozy family dinners. This picture is the inspiration for my dining room. I adore the contrast of the dark wood table with the less imposing light colored upholstered french chairs. I found four side chairs at an antique mall with the same shape - one day I'll actually get them painted and reupholstered. My Duncan Phyfe dining table awaits their renewal.
love the accent color - ballet pink. could this be the one? cheers, dana (Norwegian Living Rooms by decor8, via Flickr)
