    DIY Disney Silhouettes

Melted crayon art. My daughter loves princesses, but I didn't want her room too "Disney-ish" so I googled "princess silhouettes" and printed the pictures from my printer. I took the printed image and cut it out of contact paper. Next, on the canvases, I stuck down the image, hot glued the crayons to the top and melted the crayons all the way to the bottom, peeled off the contact paper and was left with the silhouette. I had to touch up some edges with white paint, but they turned out well.

Just print off any picture you want, then spray paint a piece of wood black, cut the picture to match the size of the wood. Using Mod podge coat the wood then lay the picture on top. Once it has dried thoroughly, use sandpaper to rough up the edges, then put a layer of mod podge over the picture. paint some eye hooks and use pretty ribbon as a hanger and voila!
