Patio herb garden. I like the idea of the graduated containers. Builds height in a corner for my deck. Easy enough--just poke holes in the bottoms of the containers, which I can get from a local tractor or garden supply store.

back door herb garden...how handy to have them all together in one spot. must try this! I can't have a real garden here, too much shade so a deck garden is in order!!!

back door herb garden, you can start some herbs inside by simply placing a cutting in a container of water...it takes a few weeks & you'll see it's roots. start rosemary, oregano, marjoram, basil & mint too, create several new plants this way. taking cuttings and rooting them for replanting inside, start them in pots soon Susan Ache

DIY herb gardens. Cut the soda bottle or any plastic bottle with a cover. Turn upside down; attach to board. I'm thinking of leaving the cover to the bottle on; punch in a few holes to drain excess water, but not have the soil drain out also.

The Checkerboard Herb Garden/Even if it rains you can get to your herbs. I can do this with wall stones from the woods, and put it next to the stone patio.

Herb garden. This is a strawberry jar; I had a clay one but the kids broke it playing baseball. I now have a plastic one, and it is great -- Linda
