Who knew 5 gallon bucket could be so useful? I needed more seating in my classroom around my small group table, so I saw where someone made stools out of 5 gallon paint buckets. I tweaked their idea and made my own. Here is how I made them: 1. I went to Lowes and bought 5 buckets and lids. I then went to Hobby Lobby and bought some foam and fabric. I also bought some spray adhesive and some thin pieces of round wood. 2. I spray painted my buckets green to match my theme. Then I glued the wood to the foam and wrapped my fabric around them. Then I glued the cushion to the bucket lid. I added a little ribbon to give it a little more cuteness.

5 gallon bucket seating.. instead of chairs for small group table, as 6 chairs don't all fit correctly... better height than milk crate seats, but with storage.

Take a Seat Drive through any neighborhood on trash day and you're sure to find a beat-up chair or two. Rescue the sturdy ones with sandpaper, primer, and paint. Re-cover the seat by cutting fabric 3 inches larger all around and attaching it with a staple gun. For extra flair, embellish the chair back with rub-on lettering.

Love that everything flips. No more buckets of extra calendar numbers

Small Group Organization: I think this would be a great tool for the classroom. It is very well organized and once the students know the routine, I'm sure that there would be very little question as to what they must do. It also looks very attractive and inviting so the students would actually enjoy small group time.

independent fun for your students while you teach small groups!

This is cool, but I wonder if the fabric would get dirty with kids shoes near it.

This free poster is great for any small group work, whether it's used for pull-out groups or with cooperative groups in a classroom. Students are forced to rate themselves based on performance as a group. Enjoy!

When she is wearing her crown, nobody is supposed to interrupt her. She said it worked wonders, and I love the idea. She wears it during small groups.
