This story uses a predictable pattern, "George Washington, George Washington, what do you see?" to support emerging readers. This story includes several President's Day vocabulary words, such as George Washington, Washington Monument, Betsy Ross, American flag, bald eagle, the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, and Abraham Lincoln.

President's Day idea. Ask your child what they would change if they were president. Love the self-portrait.
