Before washing in very hot water I gave the spots a really good rub as I could still see them. It worked like magic - no trace of the stain remained.

    This is actually really bad as the oil builds up in the leather and will ultimately ruin it. Research online and use a dedicated leather treatment such as Leather Master.

    Thanks for pinning this. Because the top I was working on had a little bit of texture, I used my clothing shaver 1st which took off some of the paint with the fuzz balls. That left less paint to work on and the alcohol did the trick. Pinterest to the rescue again.
