    • Rachel Hampton

Halloween Martini “Vampire Style” The “blood rim” is made from the same kind of mixture as you’d use to make hard candy. It’s actually pretty easy, but you will need a candy thermometer Ingredients: 1 c. Sugar 1/2 c. Karo Syrup 1/2 c. Water Red Food Coloring Directions: Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook without stirring to 300 degrees F. Add food coloring. Turn off heat, dunk the top of the cocktail glass into the mixture to create the red rim.

Vampire's Kiss Cocktail w/instructions on making a hard candy "blood drip" on the glass. Yes, it's from a Twilight party planning blog entry, but would still be cool for a Halloween party.

Kids love Easter egg hunts, so why not give the game a Halloween twist by hosting a mini-pumpkin hunt? For older toddlers/kids it would also be fun to decorate the pumpkins with paint, stickers, even glitter once they've been found.

Easy Halloween Treat: Peanut Butter Pumpkins...these are delicious and unfortunately addictive (as in, can't eat just one.) I say unfortunately, because if you are watching calories DON'T make these! They are about 200 calories each little pumpkin. However, they were a fun afternoon project for my daughter and I : )
