“Rag” Valance (by choosing suitable fabrics, would suit any number of decor styles ... I think I'll go with shabby chic and use torn strips of muslin, lace, lacy fabrics, and maybe a little burlap if it works in well). Also good for cottage, can even be rustic or primitive.
