    Fresh Basil Pesto Recipe Seeing as the last two recipes Ive posted both included fresh pesto, and seeing as pesto is my favorite spread, and seeing as though youre still reading this, I thought it would be nice to share with you exactly how to make fresh basil pesto. This recipe will help you discover a new love for the green stuff, and have you leaving the store bought brands at the store (not to mention saving you a few bucks). Dig in to this delicioso recipe. What You Need3 cups packed fresh basil2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted until golden and cooled2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese2-3 cloves garlic, mincedSalt and pepper How You Make ItIn a food processor or blender, combine basil and about 2 tablespoons of the extra virgin olive oil, blend into a paste. Add pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and remaining oil and pulse until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Spread it on a french baguette and pair with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil for dipping, or use it in a pasta dish, or just be a fatty like me and eat it by the spoon full. Your girlfriend will love your breath after that.
