Dry fire wood ready for winter. [it is also home for endless insects over winter]

We always had big piles of wood out back to get us through the winter. Also had a pile of coal for the heater stove. We used wood mostly for the kitchen stove.

have a wagon on hand for gardening, syacking wood hauling game and or firewood--- and giving smaller kids a way to help with bigger jobs---keeping them entertained as well :)

Fire on a Chilly Evening--so many times the we have wanted to have a bonfire, only it wouldn't light because the wood was wet--I'm thinking it's a good idea to keep a metal tub filled with wood in the shed for this purpose!

Using our dutch oven we made our dinner but it had to simmer. In the mean time we got out our roasting sticks and did a few marshmallows over the fire.

Something for the fireplace that is resting until it is restored.
