Guinea Fowl - A Guide To Raising Guineas.... I LOVE GUINEAS! <3
5 reasons not to own guinea fowl. This is great article! I concur completely with the author. Our guineas are BULLIES as she says in her article! They are nasty to our hens. They are notorious for being lousy parents. I too wish for any considering them to make sure you are well informed. And they WILL dig up your property making dust pits in places that are easiest for them like the base of grapevines, fruit trees and rose bushes exposing the roots. No more Guineas for us once these are gone.

Training guinea fowl to return to the coop at night
~~ "Training guinea fowl with herding sticks"
- guinea fowl wander farther than chickens do - they need a larger coop than comparable numbers of chickens - about 3-4 square feet of area per guinea fowl (if they are free-ranging during the day; more if they're to be cooped all the time)

Did you know, a lot of criminals use guineas as guard dogs? A guinea will let out a extremely loud squeaky/honk when something new comes around, 40 times better then the average watchdog. Also, grabbing one will guarantee a face full of poo, being as that they are poo flingers.
