    Mamas Amazing Ziti...I made this every week for 7 months while the Hubs was on a weight loss plan. He would take it to work instead of grabbing fast food. I sub ground chicken instead of the beef and substitute natural ingredients whenever I can. Another tip...pre-shredded cheese has yucky chemicals in it, Buy the whole stuff and shred it; amazing what a taste difference this makes.

    baked ziti w/ground beef In a 4-quart Dutch oven, cook ground beef and shredded carrot over medium heat until meat is brown. Drain off fat. Stir tomato soup, the water, uncooked ziti, dried basil (if using), onion powder, and garlic powder into meat mixture in Dutch oven. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and cook about 25 minutes or until ziti is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in fresh basil (if using) and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle individual servings with Parmesan cheese.

Cheeseburger Pasta = Homemade Hamburger Helper (at least thats what it reminds me of). Im not a fan of THAT taste that HH tends to carry with it, so I was wanting to give this a try. It was yummy! Very kid friendly. Im thinking you could make it with chicken too. All kids loved it. Word of advice...start the cheese sauce before the hamburger. Score = 5 out of 5
