Cinnasticks Copycat (aka Cinnamon Sticks) Recipe ~ Instead of adding the topping then baking, I brushed the dough with butter flavored oil, baked it, and after it came out of the oven warm I sprinkled it with a cinnamon sugar mixture, then followed up with the icing... YUM!

Heart shaped cinnamon rolls with salted caramel frosting for the kids' breakfast in recognition of the approaching Valentine's Day. I used Trader Joe's Natural Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls. Partially unroll but leave a curl, then begin curling in the loose end. Pinch in the middle and fold over the pinch to make point. Bake for slightly less time than recommended since they will cook faster with smaller rolls. Frost with provided frosting {optional: add a drop of red dye for pink frosting} or use left over homemade frosting like we did. These taste ah-mayzing with salted caramel buttercream. Mmmmm.

    I was too lazy to drive to TJ's yesterday so I bought Pillsbury ones at the regular supermarket. I haven't bought those in at least ten years and didn't realize that they (or at least the ones I got) aren't rolled like that! They were more just a blob. I was so disappointed, though my girls gobbled them up just as quickly. ;-)
