Each kid gets their own wrapping paper - none of the gifts are marked, and in order to know which gifts are theirs, they have to find a tiny piece of their wrapping paper in the bottom of their stocking. It's a little last minute excitement, as they see the gifts, but don't know which belongs to who.
Wrap a full sized chocolate bar with white wrapping paper and draw on the faces. For the earmuffs, use a black pipe cleaner and pom poms. Use buttons or black puffy paint and a cute ribbon and tag to complete the look.
Put together a Christmas Eve Box for kids to open- include new pj's, a holiday book to read before bed, reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard, Santa's magic key.... lots of other ideas of things to include here, too! Such a fun family tradition!
ONLY THE BEST PARENTS EVER WOULD DO THIS!!!! New Tradition?? Start bedtime routine as usual, while one parent makes bags of popcorn and hot cocoa and places them in the car, don't forget to have Christmas music to play! When the kids climb into bed, they will find a ticket hidden. The kids are instructed to grab their slippers and head for the car. Upon entrance to The SUV Express, you hole punch the ticket, and travel around the city looking at all the beautiful lights.
Wrap 24 Christmas books you already own. Kids get to pick which one is read that day. Stack under kids tree in bedroom. Half the fun of presents is unwrapping them. What a fun tradition.... could also use this idea in the classroom!
