Snorkeling Shark Ray Alley (Belize). 'Local fisherfolk used to come to Shark Ray Alley to clean their catch, and their discards would attract hungry nurse sharks and southern stingrays. As a result these predators have long become accustomed to boats, which nowadays bring snorkelers instead of fishers. Shark Ray Alley is the top snorkeling destination in Hol Chan Marine Reserve.' http://www.lonelyplanet.com/belize

Ambergris Caye Belize, Shark Ray Alley, is a must and it’s only a few minutes by boat from San Pedro. Hundreds of sting rays of all sizes congregate here accompanied by families of nurse sharks. With a depth of only 8 feet, the Sand Bar offers great photo opportunities. In dozens of trips I have made only once has anyone been bitten.
