Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland | In the west central Scottish Lowlands you'll find one of Britain's most intriguing cities. Go to Eilean Donan where the 3 lochs meet and explore the iconic castle that's been standing guard there since the century.

Iona Abbey, Scotland: go north 'cross the border to Oban, take the Caledonian-MacBrayne car ferry to Mull (w/side trip to see the yachts/village at Tobermorey via single track roads), then park at Fionnphort & take the 5 min ferry across to Iona. Nice B if you don't want to stay at the Abbey, fab white sand beaches, turquoise sea, a seat of Xnty, spirituality... lovely
