Eowyn in LOTR - it's kind of a running joke that her wardrobe was modeled on my SCA one.

30 day LOTR Challange. Day 16 ~ Favorite Female Character: This was a hard choice, but I'm going to have to with Eowyn. Arwen is close behind.

Éowyn: "All your words are but to say: you are a woman, and your part is in the house. But when the men have died in battle and honour, you have leave to be burned in the house, for the men will need it no more. But I am of the House of Eorl and not a serving-woman. I can ride and wield a blade, and I do not fear either pain or death."

Eowyn. Always one of my absolute favourite LOTR characters. After all the pain and loss she went through, she still wanted to fight for the people she loved, and kicked the Witch King's ass!

The women of this country learned long ago, those without swords can still die upon them.

Very fair was her face, her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was, strong she seemed. Stern as steel, a daughter of kings. #lotr #eowyn

Mirando Otto as Eowyn of Rohan in 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy (2001-2003).

This is at the very top of my cosplay priority list. Eowyn is my very favorite female literary character.
