      I liked this idea of presenting and helping students with 'cause and effect' because most students are aware of Angry Birds so they will hopefully get a better understanding.

    With each of these banks we've created stories based on the theme. We wrote "My Rolling Bird", and "My Surprised Bird", and "My Blue Bird"... and so on. These have made for fun Writer's Workshop lessons and have really expanded my class' ideas on emotions, movement and describing words. The children are thrilled with the writing lessons - and I'm really enjoying them too. I'm actually having a blast! I think my next step is to have them make some books based on their writing and have them go through the whole writing process with their project. Can you imagine how cute a bunch of Angry Birds writing stories would be in your classroom library?
